BANGKOK (AP) – Stocks in Asia slid on Thursday after Wall Street benchmarks fell more than 1% in the middle of a mostly quiet and holiday-shortened week.

US futures were mixed and oil prices fell.

Tokyo’s Nikkei 225 Index lost 1.3% to 25,990.68.

Hong Kong’s Hang Seng fell 1.1% to 19,681.70, while the Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.3% to 3,077.80.
