Oil prices rose slightly on Tuesday after a G7 price cap on Russian sea oil went into effect on Monday, in addition to a European Union embargo on imports of Russian crude oil by sea.

Brent crude futures LCOc1 was up 66 cents at $83.34 a barrel by 0108 GMT. West Texas Intermediate Crude (WTI) CLc1 was up 70 cents at $77.63 a barrel.
