Crude oil prices got off to a positive start in December after falling almost 7 percent in November. Crude oil prices are up nearly 6 percent in the first week of December, teetering ahead of the December 4 meeting of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and its allies, including Russia, a group known as OPEC+.
