North Sea crude oil differentials of the 40s rose back to a premium versus Brent on Friday, the highest level in about a month.
The stronger demand supports disparities in the North Sea and related markets such as West Africa, traders said.
Forties were bid on Wednesday at minus 35 cents in dated Brent, the highest since late December.
Refinery crude oil intake was 9.751 million bpd in December, up 2.2% from November and 4.2% from December 2021.
