London’s FTSE 100 rose 0.2% to 7,464.35 in afternoon trade on Wednesday.
Glencore rose as it agreed amended terms for the sale of its Australian CSA copper mine. Shares were also boosted by an upgrade to outperform from Amber.
SSE was even there in the red RBC capital markets upgraded the stock to outperform from sector performance.
