The GCC region has a large pipeline of projects to be delivered; The Economist Intelligence (EIU) said the proposed or ongoing pipeline of projects in the Gulf region was valued at $2.65 trillion in June.
Total contracting for projects across the GCC rose back to over $100 billion in 2021 after a pandemic-related slump in 2020, when the value of total contracting fell below $70 billion, EIU said in a report.
