SINGAPORE, July 20 (Reuters) – Mitsubishi Corp, on behalf of Japanese utilities, bought a shipment of Vietnamese crude for offloading at a record quality premium, traders said on Wednesday.

The purchase comes after Nippon Steel bought a shipment of liquefied natural gas (LNG) at the highest price ever paid in Japan. The world’s second-largest LNG importer is struggling for energy fuels as a global heatwave fuels electricity demand this summer. Continue reading
