The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Thursday clarified that no restrictions were placed on opening letters of credit (LCs) or contracts to import crude oil, liquefied natural gas (LNG) and other petroleum products.

“Such information is disseminated with ulterior motives to create uncertainty in the market,” the central bank said in a brief statement.
