The outlaw indigenous people of Biafra have said that after the discovery of crude oil in the north, Biafra can now exist as a sovereign state.
The group made its position known in a statement by its director of media and public relations, Emma Powerful, on Friday.
It said the discovery of crude oil in the north was in response to prayers by its leader, Nnamdi Kanu, for the northern region to discover petroleum in commercial quantities to facilitate the exit from Biafra.
