Oil prices rose on Friday on demand optimism after better-than-expected economic data in the US and hopes the Chinese economy will recover from wounds from the COVID-19 pandemic.
International benchmark Brent was trading at $87.82 a barrel by 0656 GMT, up 0.40% from the previous trading session’s close of $87.47 a barrel.
