Latest figures show that US oil inventories accumulated an additional 3.925 million barrels of crude stocks during the week, the Energy Information Administration (EIA) reported.
It’s a sharp contrast to last week when oil stocks fell by 3 million barrels. Prices of the New York-traded West Texas Intermediate (WTI) benchmark fell almost 4% below the key technical support area below $85 a barrel, while North Sea Brent futures fell to $91.75 a barrel.
