Oil prices rose early Thursday after China signaled an easing of its tough Covid policies that have battered market sentiment for the past few months.

As of 6:46 p.m. ET on Thursday, WTI Crude Oil Prices rose 1.67% to $86.98, and the international benchmark, Brent crude oilrose 1.41% to $93.72.

China’s strict Covid measures may be partially relaxed, which could support oil prices.
