Russia became India’s top oil supplier in October, surpassing traditional sellers Saudi Arabia and Iraq, according to data from energy cargo tracker Vortexa.
Russia, which accounted for just 0.2 percent of all oil imported by India in the year ended March 31, 2022, shipped 935,556 barrels of crude oil per day (bpd) to India in October – a record high.
