Energy stocks ended mixed this afternoon, with the NYSE Energy Sector Index down 0.3% while the SPDR Energy Select Sector ETF (XLE) was up 0.4%. The Philadelphia Oil-Service Sector Index was also up 0.4% and the Dow Jones US Utilities Index rose 1.1%.
