Energy stocks continued to outperform most broader markets on Friday, with the NYSE Energy Sector Index up 3.0% and the SPDR Energy Select Sector ETF (XLE) up 3.4%. The Philadelphia Oil-Service Sector Index was up 4.1%, but the Dow Jones US Utilities Index slipped 1.3%.
