US commercial stockpiles of crude oil and gasoline rose slightly more than expected last week, according to data released by the Energy Information Administration on Wednesday.
US benchmark oil prices, which were slightly lower prior to the report’s release, edged higher afterwards. The Nymex March front month crude oil contract was recently up 0.2% to $80.29 a barrel.
