The commodity-heavy FTSE 100 in the UK rallied on Friday after finishing lower in the previous session, helped by miners and energy companies, while marketing firm 4imprint jumped on an upbeat earnings forecast. The export-led FTSE 100 was up 0.3% but was expected to end the week down, while the FTSE 250 was up 0.1%.

Industrial metals and energy companies gave the benchmark index the biggest boost, falling 1.0% and 1.0% respectively.
