US oil prices have fallen to their lowest level since December 2021 amid fears that protests in China over the Covid-19 lockdown will hurt demand.
West Texas Intermediate crude oil futures, the US benchmark, fell 2.7% on Monday to trade just under $74 a barrel, a level last seen in December 2021. Futures on Brent crude, the global benchmark, fell 2.9% to trade near $81 a barrel.
