Vietnam’s biggest refinery will import 2.52 million tons of crude in the fourth quarter to boost operations, state-owned oil company PetroVietnam said Tuesday as authorities try to stave off a fuel supply crisis.

Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical (NSRP) will buy nine batches of 280,000 tons each in the period from October to December, according to a statement from PetroVietnam, which owns a 25.1% stake in the plant.
